This dish originates from China and is also known as crackle porcelain.
It was mainly regarded as export porcelain and dates from the Wanli period, during which Wanli was emperor from 1572 to 1620.
The fall of the Ming dynasty brought an end to the shipment of this type of porcelain.
A typical feature is its thickness and weight: very light and thin.
The plate is divided into different sections with motifs in blue and white.
These are often landscapes and animals, such as birds and grasshoppers.
The edges of this plate are also cracked, which is common with this type of porcelain.
