Viennese manufacturers cast bronze into small sculptures, some of which were human figures, and others were animals such as elephants, dogs, and rabbits. They even cast small animals such as birds, frogs, and insects. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, they mainly served as decorations and trinkets. Unfortunately, during the world wars, many figurines were melted down to meet the demand for metal.
