Unfortunately, the maker of this spoon and fork is unknown.
However, the initials ‘I. B. VD’ are marked on the underside of both handles, as well as a crowned NH between the hallmarks.

Based on these silver hallmarks, we can infer that this rare pair was crafted in the small municipality of Oudenaarde during the second half of the 18th century.
